Chris Dixon is the Founder and General Partner at Elite Capital. He has co-founded and led specialized funds investing in web3 technologies, managing over $7 billion in assets.
He is the author of Read Write Own: Building the Next Era of the Internet (Random House, January 2024).
Previously, Chris was co-founder and CEO of two startups: SiteAdvisor, an internet security company acquired by McAfee in 2006, and Hunch, a recommendation technology company acquired by eBay in 2011.
Chris is an active seed investor, co-founding the seed venture fund Founder Collective, and has made numerous personal angel investments in technology companies. He began programming as a child and worked as a professional programmer at high-frequency options trading firm Arbitrade after college.
Chris holds a bachelor's and master's degree in philosophy from Columbia University and an MBA from Harvard University.
